COMMUNITY HOTSPOT GROUPS

Extend local coverage together.

A hotspot operator can invite neighbours to host additional TaraSec hotspots using suitable Internet connections. This can expand coverage while measuring each gateway's contribution and keeping rewards transparent.

BETTER FOR CUSTOMERS

Use the strongest suitable connection without another login.

A community hotspot group can give customers several nearby access points instead of one weak signal. The goal is for the TaraSec app to recognize participating gateways, authenticate the customer's device automatically and use the suitable access point with the best signal when the price is the same.

01

Smoother coverage

When a customer moves through the community, the phone can reconnect through another gateway in the same group without entering the account details again. Short interruptions may still occur while the phone changes Wi-Fi connection.

02

No surprise price changes

Automatic movement should be limited to alternatives covered by the customer's price policy. If a stronger nearby hotspot costs more, the app should explain the difference and ask: A better but more expensive connection is available nearby. Connect?

03

The operator serves the whole area

The primary hotspot operator earns its agreed share from eligible usage delivered through every active gateway in the group. Each connection host receives the reward defined by that gateway's signed agreement.

The phone ultimately controls Wi-Fi association, and operating systems do not always choose the mathematically strongest signal. TaraSec therefore describes this as a design goal rather than a guarantee. The app can remember trusted gateways, re-authorize them quickly and assist the customer when a choice or price approval is required.

THREE ROLES

Local agreements, supported by shared technology.

01

Primary hotspot operator

Runs the customer-facing service, sets prices, records customer revenue, holds the applicable business permit and manages the hotspot group. The operator recruits and supports connection hosts and may operate a main hotspot where hosts can use earned access credits.

02

Connection host

Voluntarily provides a location, electricity and a suitable Internet connection for an additional gateway. The connection host does not set customer prices or sell access directly through TaraSec.

03

TaraSec

Provides the technical platform for identity, security, metering, roaming and bookkeeping. TaraSec receives 10% of the amount charged for delivered usage.

BOOKKEEPING

The operator and host decide how to divide the remaining 90%.

TaraSec does not prescribe the arrangement between the primary hotspot operator and the connection host.

They may choose a percentage split, a fixed usage reward, all proceeds going to one party, or a non-cash reward such as connectivity at the main hotspot. Both parties should electronically accept the same agreement version before the hosted gateway starts earning. Either party may stop it at any time; termination applies to future usage and does not erase rewards already accrued.

TRANSPARENT & VOLUNTARY

Each contribution should be visible and controllable.

Explicit consent

The connection host must agree before sharing is enabled. The operator and host should both be able to review the current agreement.

Per-gateway measurement

Each hosted gateway has its own identity. Usage, customer charges, TaraSec's fee and the two parties' shares should be recorded against the relevant session and agreement version.

Host controls

A host should be able to pause sharing and set appropriate bandwidth or data limits without affecting unrelated gateways in the group.

Separate reward modes

A connection host may receive non-cashable TaraSec access credits or an externally settled commission, as agreed for that period. Access credits, cashable earnings and borrowed credits remain separate in the ledger and user interface.

Future changes stay future

A changed split should apply to later usage only. It must not silently recalculate rewards that were already earned under an earlier agreement.

Verifiable settlement

Cash withdrawal may require identity, business, tax or payment verification. Reversals and disputed measurements should remain auditable.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER

The technology does not determine whether an arrangement is permitted.

The primary hotspot operator is the commercial service provider and is responsible for customer revenue and business compliance. A connection host does not sell access directly through TaraSec. TaraSec provides the technical solution and bookkeeping tools, but does not determine whether either party has required permits, registrations, tax status or other legal authority.

TaraSec also does not know whether an Internet provider's contract permits sharing, public access, resale or commercial use of a domestic connection. The hotspot operator and connection host are responsible for checking applicable laws, local requirements and the terms of their Internet service before enabling sharing.

Local rules may still treat access credits or other host rewards as taxable or reportable benefits. Any cash or mobile-money settlement between the parties is outside TaraSec unless a supported payment service explicitly handles it.

Availability of TaraSec technology is not legal, tax or business advice and does not mean that a proposed arrangement is permitted.
